Before I Self Destruct is the fourth studio album by rapper 50 Cent, his final solo release in his current contract with Interscope Records, excluding a “greatest hits” album. The pressure is on 50 Cent. After losing a very public sales battle with Kanye West, he has promised that Before I Self Destruct, his fourth studio album, will revolutionize hip-hop, it will be the culminating statement of the first phase of his music career, and that it is a companion piece to his first feature directing effort. 50 Cent has described Before I Self Destruct as “darker and more aggressive,” with fewer guest appearances and a concept that will set the next phase of his musical career. “Get Up,” the first single from the album, was produced by Scott Storch.

50 Cent之前的两张专辑从Aftermath这里得到的帮助非常的少，但是这次，Dr. Dre和Eminem都会出现，而且会制作专辑里大部分的歌曲。

《Before I Self Destruct》将会在09年12月9日推出，随碟还会附赠一张同名电影的DVD。

影片中，50 Cent会扮演一个走上犯罪道路的年轻篮球运动员，他得一人担负起抚养年轻弟弟的以及为查出谋杀母亲的罪犯的责任。

《Before I Self Destruct》会在今年12月9日推出，根据Billboard得到的消息,这张专辑将是这位说唱歌手在Interscope唱片公司旗下的最后一张专辑。根据他和Interscope2003年签下的合同，他在这家唱片公司旗下会发行四张专辑和一张精选，现在他已经出版了《Get Rich Or Die Tryin’》、《The Massacre》、《Curtis》。

同时今年50 Cent还会出版一本书叫做《The 50 Laws of Power》，该书也是50对Robert Greene写的《The 48 Laws of Power》（权力法则48条）一书作的改写
